Talam Transform denies new investor entry

    PETALING JAYA: Talam Transform Bhd has denied knowledge of new investors coming into the company.
    The company said this in a filing with Bursa Malaysia, in response to an article published by an English daily on Monday entitled "Talam to get new shareholders".
    The article had said that the new investors will come in as part of a restructuring exercise of the Talam group. The daily had said that among the new investors are existing shareholders of Multi Purpose Holdings Bhd, which is controlled by Datuk Surin Upatkoon. Surin is already an indirect shareholder of Talam through MWE Bhd.
    Talam Transform's shares closed up 1 sen to 10.5 sen yesterday, with some 65.9 million shares traded.
