Alexandra Harper creates Disney headpieces

ALEXANDRA Harper Millinery has created Disney-inspired headpieces.
The London based hat makers have teamed up with The Walt Disney Company UK to produce a range off one-off designer hats and headpieces inspired by the studio's most beloved and iconic characters and fairytales.
Alexandra said: "Working with Disney is an honour. Disney films are timeless, and just like Disney characters and their worlds, millinery is all about the fantastical."
The first capsule collection for the studio ties in with the upcoming worldwide release of 'Maleficent', which is based on the classic Disney film 'Sleeping Beauty' and stars Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning.
She added: "Drawing inspiration from the villainous 'Maleficent' character, the first Alexandra Harper Millinery for Disney collection blends luxurious materials in blacks, purples, and even shocking red with just the right Disney magic."
Having worked with designers including Christian Louboutin, Givenchy, Lulu Guinness and Richard Nicoll, Alexandra has now been inspired by Disney's characters and stories.
Bridget Robertson, senior commercial manager of fashion accessories at The Walt Disney Company UK, said: "Maleficent is a hugely iconic Disney character with her own unique style. We are thrilled to be working with Alexandra Harper Millinery to create these aspirational statement headpieces, which combine Maleficent's flamboyant elegance with their own fantastic individuality."
The designer is set to produce several collections with the studio over the next two years and the second range will follow the theme of Peter Pan and Tinkerbell. – Bang Media
