Nabi Bux: I have proof of my PAS membership

GEORGE TOWN: Bukit Gelugor by-election independent candidate, Mohamed Nabi Bux Mohd Nabi Abdul Sathar (pix) was adamant he is still a legitimate PAS member.
He claimed the PAS leadership was reluctant to recognize him as party member for fear that PAS supporters in the area would give him their support.
"I have the proof of my membership validity. I read in the local newspapers today that PAS secretary-general Datuk Mustafa Ali still denies my membership," he told reporters after his campaign at Kampung Melayu, Air Itam here today.
Mohamed Nabi Bux, 63, is involved in a four-cornered fight against three other candidates - Ramkarpal Singh Deo of DAP, Parti Cinta Malaysia (PCM) vice-president, Datuk Huan Cheng Guan and another independent, Abu Backer Sidek Mohamad Zan in the May 25 by-election.
Former Selangor PAS commissioner Datuk Hassan Ali, when contacted, said he could not confirm Mohamed Nabi Bux's membership in the party.
However if he was the holder of PAS membership certificate, logically he was a party member, he said. – Bernama
