INTERNATIONAL value hotel group Tune Hotels continues to boost its presence within Malaysia with the opening of a new property in Taiping, Perak. The 113-room Tune Hotel Taiping which is part of the Taiping Centre Point development, is within the heart of a new business growth district of the city.
The Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER) is an economic transformation project that focuses on accelerating growth and income levels with the objective of attaining world-class economic region status by 2025. The states involved under the NCER project include Perlis, Kedah, Penang and northern Perak, where Taiping is located in. Here, tourism is one of its key thrust areas alongside agriculture, manufacturing and logistics.
Famed for its tin-mining legacy, Taiping is easily accessible via the North-South Expressway, with Penang about 110 km to the north and Kuala Lumpur 260 km down south. One of the earliest stations of the British administration in the 19th century, Taiping boasts a sizeable concentration of heritage buildings and sites including the Taiping Lake Gardens, the first public garden established during British rule where the famous centuries-old raintrees can still be found. Taiping is also home to Malaysia’s oldest hill station, Maxwell Hill, the country’s very first zoo and night safari.
“With Tune Hotel Taiping, we look forward to welcoming holiday-makers and business travellers alike to enjoy our international-class accommodation at affordable rates,” said Tune Hotels group CEO Mark Lankester (pix).
Tune Hotel Taiping is opposite Taiping Sentral Mall. This area offers a host of dining, entertainment, shopping and lifestyle options. In line with the launch, rooms at Tune Hotel Taiping will be offered at promotional rates starting from RM68 all-in per night via online booking only. Book now until May 25 and enjoy immediate stays until July 24. Promotional rooms are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
