Two more held over commando's murder

    LAHAD DATU: Police held two more soldiers today in their probe into the murder of an army commando who was allegedly shot dead by his colleague in an altercation outside a karaoke bar at the town centre here on Wednesday.
    Sabah police CID chief SAC Omar Mamah said today with the latest arrest, police have in their custody 13 people including the main suspect.
    He said while the main suspect is being investigated for murder, the rest are assisting invesigators with the probe.
    He said those detained are soldiers in the 20's and early 40's and were present in the vicinity of the crime scene when the incident occured.
    Omar said police also learnt that only four members of the group of soldiers were attached to the East Sabah Security Command (ESSCOM) and were on security patrol.
    They had gone into the Hawaii Karaoke pub prior to the shooting.
    "There are many versions to what took place before the murder and we are trying to narrow it down to the truth but we consider the case solved as we have those responsible for the death of the victim in custody." he told theSun.
    Army commando Lance Corporal Mohd Fiffixezafey Mat Husin, 28 from died of a gunshot wound to his chest minutes after being rushed to the Lahad Datu Hospital at about 4.45am.
