Renewal of water service licence approved

PETALING JAYA: The Minister of Energy, Water and Communications has approved the application for the renewal of service licence by Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PBA Holdings Bhd.
The renewal was applied pursuant to the Water Services Industry Act 2006 (WSIA). The service licence is effective from June 1, 2014 till Dec 31, 2016, unless renewed in accordance with Section 17 of the WSIA and Regulation 7 of the Water Services Industry (Licensing) Regulations 2007.
