Outgoing MASKargo CEO to join KLAS

    PETALING JAYA: Malaysia Airlines Cargo Sdn Bhd (MASKargo) CEO Mohd Yunus Idris is set to join DRB-Hicom Bhd’s KL Airport Service Sdn Bhd after he serves his last day at the air cargo operator tomorrow, according to sources.
    It is understood that Yunus will take on the role of CEO at the integrated logistic services company some time this week.
    He will report to group CEO Datuk Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh.
    Mohd Shukrie is also CEO of listed Konsortium Logistik Bhd, which KLAS had offered to buy a 61.61% stake in from Ekuiti Nasional Bhd (Ekuinas) for RM240 million, late last year.
    KLAS made a net profit of RM20.8 million on RM195.3 million revenue for the financial year ended March 31, 2013
    MASkargo last friday confirmed a SunBiz’s report in announcing the resignation of Yunus as CEO.
    Yunus is a 30-year veteran of Malaysia Airlines group, beginning his career as property controller based in the gompany’s town office in Kuala Lumpur.
    In 1994, he joined Cargo as the Cargo Project and Planning Manager and was made responsible for the Kuala Lumpur International airport cargo development project. He was then appointed the Ground Support manager working on solutions for various aspects of airport ramp and Cargo Operations.
    Yunus was made acting CEO of MASkargo in November 2011, and officially appointed as CEO in August 2012.
