KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak today wished Happy Father's Day to all Malaysian fathers and reminded them the importance of doing their best for their children.
In the same message, Najib also paid tribute to his late father, Malaysia's second Prime Minister Tun Abdul Razak Hussein, and acknowledged his contribution for his success today.
"I won't be the person I am today if it wasn't for my father.
"Let us be reminded that as fathers, investing in the lives of our family is infinitely wiser than devoting all our energy in things that will disintegrate soon after we're gone.
"The greatest legacy a father can leave behind is his children," he said in his Facebook posting today. Father's Day is a celebration honouring fathers and celebrating fatherhood, paternal bonds and the influence of fathers in society.
In Malaysia, Father's Day is on the third Sunday of June, which falls today. – Bernama
