Woman and boyfriend hurt in slashing incident

ALOR SETAR: A woman and her boyfriend were seriously hurt when slashed by her husband in an incident in Jalan Rakyat, Langgar, near here early today.
The woman's husband had just returned home from hawking at 2am and was shocked to find a man inside his house.
Kedah CID chief ACP Mohd Nashir Ya said the 29-year-old husband was arrested at the scene.
"The woman in her 30s was hurt in the right leg when hit by a sharp weapon and treated at Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital (HSB)," he said when contacted.
The 19 year-old boyfriend suffered a broken leg and arm and was being treated at the same hospital.
Mohd Nashir said the case is being investigated under Section 326 of the Penal Code for causing hurt with a dangerous weapon.
The husband will be remanded until June 24 for investigation. – Bernama
