Pestech clinches RM1.2m contract

    PETALING JAYA: Pestech International Bhd has bagged a RM1.2 million contract to supply digital-telecommunication equipment to Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB).
    Pestech's wholly owned unit, Pestech Sdn Bhd, will supply utility synchronous digital hierarchy (SDH) telecommunications equipment for TNB's 'Phase 1 eastern region'.
    SDH is an international technology standard that utilises light-emitting diodes (LED) or lasers for optical fiber communication. It is used for high-speed data and voice transfer of telecommunication and digital signals between substations.
    "The project mainly involves the design, manufacture, inspection and testing, installation, integration with existing facilities, testing and commissioning and maintenance of utility SDH equipment system and required accessories.
    "Through this project, Pestech will be offering contemporary equipment in digital telecommunication for power substations," Pestech said.
    This adds on to the products and services portfolio, of which, Pestech can render to its existing and future customers," Pestech said.
