Auxiliary policewoman, husband, foreigner charged with kidnapping student

    KUALA LUMPUR: An auxiliary policewoman, her husband and a Myanmar were charged at the magistrate's court here yesterday, with kidnapping a form two girl, a week ago.
    Alice Ann John Louis, 21, her husband, Logedason Rajamanikam, 27, a lorry driver, and unemployed Hassan Sas Muhamad, 31, pleaded not guilty to committing the offence.
    They were charged with wilfully confining the student in Taman Pelangi here at 5pm on June 18.
    Deputy Public Prosecutor Nor Diana Nor Azwa proposed no bail for Hassan who holds a United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees card and suggested bail for Alice and Logedason at RM40,000 in one surety each.
    However, counsel Parvinder Singh Doal who represented all the accused appealed to the court for a lower bail as the amount proposed was beyond the means of his clients.
    Magistrate Erry Shahriman Nor Aripin set bail for Alice and Logedason at RM6,000 each in one surety.
    She disallowed bail for Hassan and set Aug 4 for mention of the case. – Bernama
