PETALING JAYA: Three women were attacked by a group of teenagers while jogging at the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) Park on Saturday night.
The incident happened at about 9.30pm when public relations executive Regina Williams, 50, her 27-year-old daughter and niece, 25, were jogging when a teenager from a group of about 15 tried to snatch the handphone from her niece.
"There was a struggle and my daughter tried to help when five of the other teenagers attacked my daughter, kicking and hitting her on the head with the handphone they had snatched from my niece," Regina told theSun today.
"My daughter suffered a fractured finger and an injury to the head. Meanwhile, five other youths confronted me and demanded that I hand over the pouch I had at my waist. I screamed but no one came to our aid. However, the youths ran away after taking my watch."
She took her daughter and niece to the Desa Park Sime Darby Medical Centre for treatment and lodged a report at the Dang Wangi police station on Sunday.
