Wife killed, husband injured after car overturns

KUANTAN: A housewife was killed while her husband was injured when their car skidded in an accident at Jalan Besar Chenor, near Maran, yesterday.
State Public Order and Traffic chief Supt Mohamed Fauzi Abdul Rahim said the victim, Rozmah Fozi, 45, and her husband, in his 40s, was on their way home to Kampung Bor, Chenor, from Pekan Awah in the 9.22am incident.
"The Proton Iswara car driven by the husband skidded to the right side of the road before it rammed into a lamp post," he said here today.
The crash caused the car to overturn, leaving the victim with critical injuries to the head and body.
The victim died while being treated at the Sultan Ahmad Shah Hospital (Hoshas) in Temerloh while her husband sought treatment for minor injuries at the same hospital. – Bernama
