Seven fined for fighting compound

    BATU GAJAH: Seven men, including a father and son, were fined by the Batu Gajah magistrate's court today for fighting in the compound of the Pusing police station on July 11 this year.
    The father and son were R. Shanmugam, 65 and Zaid Shanmugam, 29, who is a lorry attendant from Taman Batu Gajah Perdana, Pusing.
    Others are a contractor from Taman Bandar Baru Puspa Pusing, S. Mathekumar, 22; a welder from Taman Batu Gajah Perdana Pusing, S. Yogesawaran, 34; a lorry driver from Taman Impiana Adril, Menglembu, K. Ganasen, 44; a lorry attendant from Taman Bandar Puspa, V. Vicneswaran, 28, and S. Loggarajan, 25, from Taman Batu Gajah Perdana, Pusing.
    Magistrate Solehah Noratikah Ismail fined Mathekumar and Ganasen RM500 each as they had previous convictions for dadah and fighting. The others were fined RM450 each.
    Earlier, the men's family members prevented the media from taking photographs of the men. The men were charged with disorderly conduct in the compound of the Pusing police station.
