Subramaniam: Need for M'sian team to access MH17 crash site

KUALA LUMPUR: Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam (pix) has expressed concern that the Malaysian recovery team has not been getting the necessary support and access to the crash site of Malaysia Airlines MH17 plane.
"Ukrainian and Russian authorities owe it to us to provide support for our participation (in the recovery operations)," he said on his Facebook account.
Subramaniam noted that any attempt by pro-Russian rebels to deny entry to the crash site and interfere with evidence should be condemned.
"As a nation we'll show our resolve to go to the bottom of this and seek justice for the global community," he said of the downed Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 jetliner which was en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur.
It is believed that a surface-to-air missile brought down the plane with 298 people aboard on Thursday in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine. – Bernama
