PM: Be careful when driving to hometown for Raya

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak (pix) today advised the people to exercise caution when driving to their kampungs to celebrate Aidilfitri.
"Take care when driving home to your respective kampungs. Take this opportunity to spend time with your loved ones," he said in a post on his Twitter account.
Tens of thousands of city folk have begun driving home from the city since yesterday, choking highways and federal roads as they headed to their hometowns and villages to celebrate Aidilfitri with their families and loved ones.
The date for sighting of the new Syawal moon has been set for tomorrow, after which the date for Aidilfitri will be announced. – Bernama
