PETALING JAYA: A Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight from Adelaide to Kuala Lumpur had to discontinue its take-off to avoid colliding with an inbound flight which was in its way.
"MH136 was ready to depart Adelaide Airport and already on take-off roll when it was instructed by Adelaide Air Traffic Control to discontinue its take-off as the landing plane was in the same flight path as the Malaysia Airlines flight," MAS said in a statement today.
The MAS flight stopped safely upon receiving the instruction and departed at 8.56am.
MH136 arrived safely in Kuala Lumpur at 3.15pm with 167 passengers and crew on board.
