Iftar and entertainment at Berjaya Times Square

BERJAYA Hotels & Resorts (BHR) recently organised simultaneous charitable gestures across its Malaysian properties to celebrate Ramadan by giving back to the community and particularly to less privileged children. Berjaya Times Square Hotel (BTSH) specially hosted a lively, entertaining iftar (breaking of fast) for around 100 children and their caretakers, from Rumah Nur Salam Chow Kit, Pertubuhan Kebajukan Baitul Kasih, Praise Emmanuel Children's Home and Angels Children's Home.
After observing Al-Fatihah respecting the untimely loss of 298 lives in the MH 17 tragedy, and later Maghrib prayers, the children were led for buka puasa with dates and soft drinks, followed by a scrumptious spread prepared by BTSH specialty chefs. Interactive games and entertaining performances by local teenage celebrities Fimie Don and Didi Astila enlivened the mood, more so when duit raya and goodie bags were handed out.
This programme is also consonant with BHR’s LIVE & CARE campaign which emphasises how folks from diverse ethnic groups, religions and cultures, unite and embrace the 1Malaysia spirit during Ramadan and other festivals.
