Cops to probe nudist video

GEORGE TOWN: A video showing nudists enjoying nature, naturally, at the Penang National Park has miffed Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng (pix).
He said his administration was not involved in organising such an event which allegedly took place at Teluk Kampit, near the popular Pantai Kerachut within the park.
"Penang does not even allow a casino to be built, let alone a nude event," he said in a press conference today when asked about the incident.
The five-minute plus video, which has gone viral, shows nudists holding the Malaysia Nude Sports Games 2014 and is believed to have been taken a few months ago.
Footage shows a group of them stripped down to their birthday suits before engaging in body painting and skinny dipping.
It cannot be confirmed where the group was from but there have been indications they were nationals of a neighbouring country.
Lim said he would leave the matter to the park's management and the police to investigate.
"If Muslims are involved then the state religious authorities will do the necessary while police will handle the case if they are non-Muslims," he added.
Southwest district police chief Supt Lai Fah Hin said investigations have started under Section 509 of the Penal Code for words or gestures intended to insult the modesty of a person.
"A police report has been lodged so far." he said.
