SHAH ALAM: Selangor State Executive Council (exco) members remained non-committal on their support for embattled Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim as his fate remains uncertain.
Selangor Local Government, Research and Development Committee chairman Datuk Teng Chang Khim (DAP) said he has not received any instructions from the party for him to resign.
However, Teng said he simply had not had the time to check his phone or e-mail for the whole day.
"I have attended two meetings so far in the day and I have to take a break; I have another three to go to after lunch," he told reporters at the Selangor state secretariat building here today.
Teng said he is still an exco of the state and will perform his duties as needed and will also attend the weekly executive council meeting tomorrow.
However, he said he will act in accordance to party instructions on whether he should stay or resign from his post.
Exco for Tourism, Environment, and Consumer Affairs Elizabeth Wong (PKR) declined to comment when approached by reporters.
Exco for Youth, Sports, Malay Customs, and Infrastructure Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi said PAS excos will not be resigning unless instructed by the party's central leadership to do so.
Ahmad Yunus also said he had a short meeting with Khalid to discuss how to manage the state with the excos who are not resigning.
"We have met, only for a few minutes, it was to figure out how to administer the state with the excos who are not tendering their resignations," he told reporters.
