KUALA LUMPUR: A lone masked robber who raped a housewife after tying up her husband returned to his victims house minutes after escaping just to warn them not to lodge a police report.
The suspect had broken into a house in Kampung Seri Gombak Indah on Aug 20 at about 5.30am and had quietly searched the house for valuables as the 22-year-old housewife, her husband and two children slept through.
Sources said as the robber scoured their bedroom in the dark, the victim's husband awoke but was subdued by the intruder who held a machete on his head and told him to be silent.
The robber bound the man's limbs with rope before dragging his wife into a another room where he raped her.
The robber then order the woman to have a bath and when she was done, he fled on her husband's motorcycle.
However, he returned within minutes and warned the victims with harm if they lodged a police report.
The housewife's 27-year-old husband called the police after the robber left. It is learnt that police have raised a photo-fit of a suspect as the housewife told police that the man had removed the ski mask he was wearing when he sexually assaulted her.
Just hours before the incident on the same day, a similar case was reported in Seri Petaling by a 26-year-old Filipino maid who claimed that a man had entered her room in her employer's house and raped her at knife-point.
The woman told police that the man fled after she ran into a bathroom, locked herself inside and cried out for help.
