MH17: CM Lim and Penang excos pay their respects

GEORGE TOWN : Penang residents joined Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng and other state dignitaries and excos to observe the minute-of-silence at the state administration office at the Komtar complex, in today's National Day of Mourning, held to mark the return of the remains of 20 MH17 air tragedy victims from Amsterdam.
About 300 people dressed in dark attires arrived as early as 9am to pay their respects. There was a large TV screen set up on the ground floor of Komtar for the public to follow the ceremony held at the Bunga Raya Complex of KLIA.
Lim who along with the VIPs was dressed in black, expressed his condolences to the families of the victims.
In a press conference after the event, he expressed hopes that the remains of Penangites would perished in the tragedy would be flown back soon.
Lim said he understood that the remains of 10 more Malaysians would be flown back on Sunday.
He said he was unsure when the ashes of Tan Siew Poh and and Loh Yan Hwa would be brought back to their families.
Lim said the remains of another victim Fan Shun Po has yet to be found.
