Remains of four victims arrive at Nirvana Memorial Park

KUALA LUMPUR: The remains of four victims of the Malaysia Airlines (MAS) Flight MH17 tragedy arrived at the Nirvana Memorial Park in Sungai Besi about 12.50pm.
The caskets bearing the remains of Foo Ming Lee, Ng Qing Zheng and married couple Mabel Anthony Samy and Paul Rajasingam Sivagnanam, were received on arrival by Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong and Deputy Federal Territories Minister Datuk Dr J. Loga Bala Mohan.
According to the management of the memorial park, the remains of Foo would be placed at the park for two days for religious ceremony and then brought to the Nirvana Memorial park in Shah Alam for cremation.
Meanwhile, Ng's remains will be brought to his residence in Kota Kemuning tomorrow.
As for the remains of the married couple, Nirvana is still waiting for confirmation from the next-of-kin.
The special Malaysia Airlines aircraft bearing the remains of 20 Malaysian victims of the MH17 tragedy touched down at the KL International Airport (KLIA) at 9.54am today.
The plane had taken off from Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport at 9.40pm Malaysian time last night on a 12-hour journey to Kuala Lumpur, bringing the first batch of remains in 17 caskets and three urns. A total of 43 Malaysians perished in the downing of MH17 over Ukraine on July 17. – Bernama
