KUALA LUMPUR: The remains of two more victims of the MH17 tragedy are expected to return to Malaysia on Sunday (Aug24).
Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said the two remains which are the second batch to be flown from Amsterdam, will be received in a similar ceremony as the one held today.
Liow added that while some 30 remains have been identified by the investigators, not all the remains can be released as the proper documentation from the authorities in Amsterdam has yet to be completed.
He said they were never detained by the authorities.
He added the Ministry is in constant communication with the authorities in Amsterdam via teleconferencing to bring back the remains soon.
"However, more details will be given to the press tomorrow," he added.
He was speaking to reporters in a press conference here at the Nirvana Memorial Centre in Sungai Besi.
Liow, who was present with Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Wee Ka Siong and Federal Territories Deputy Minister Datuk Loga Bala Mohan, paid their respects to the four MH17 victims at the memorial centre here.
They were passengers Foo Ming Lee, Ng Qing Zheng, Mabel Anthonysamy and Paul Rajasingam/Sivagnanam.
