Bursa Malaysia joins Maybank Kim Eng in Invest Malaysia London

    PETALING JAYA: Bursa Malaysia Bhd in partnership with Maybank Kim Eng will host Invest Malaysia London from Sept 1-2, showcasing a line-up of multinational companies listed on the bourse.
    In a joint-statement on Friday, Bursa Malaysia and Maybank Kim Eng said almost 120 one-on-one meeting requests have been filled where United Kingdom-based fund managers will meet with CEOs of 13 of Malaysia's leading companies to hear firsthand the sustainable growth stories of these companies.
    Minister in the Prime Ministers Department Senator Datuk Seri Abdul Wahid Omar will present a keynote address with a view to provide fund managers insights to the progress and development of Malaysia's economy as well as the strategic actions to ensure Malaysia achieves developed nation status by 2020.
    Some 47 UK-based fund managers from 38 organisations representing almost US$11.83 trillion (RM37.26 trillion) in total assets under management will be present at Invest Malaysia London.
    In addition to the one-on-one meetings, fund managers will also hear from Bursa Malaysia on their roll-out plans on the introduction of the FTSE4GOOD Index series, as well as showcase the world leading expertise, innovations and deal-flow emanating from Malaysia's Islamic finance marketplace.
