IPOH: Four men and three women who were reported missing while descending Mount Bujang Melaka in Kampar, near here Sunday evening, were found at about 10pm yesterday.
The seven are Chan Yeen Kong, Yap Chong Loo, Ng Kee Wah, Kong Sang Wah, Ang Ai Lean, Ng Sun Sun and Chai Moy, aged between 20 and 50, said Kampar Police Chief Supt Ng Kong Soon in a statement last night.
He said the group of mountain climbers from Kuala Lumpur, Tapah and Langkap had ascended the mountain on foot from the foothill around Sekolah Kebangsaan De La Salle Kampar to Mount Bujang Melaka.
However, they were believed to have lost their way on the way down, he said. "They were found by the Kampar Fire and Rescue Department on top of the hill.
They were all safe," he said. He added that the police and the Fire and Rescue Department cooperated to ensure all climbers were brought down safely. – Bernama
