26 students in hospital for food poisoning

    ALOR STAR: Twenty six-students of SMK Sultanah Bahiyah, out of 50 who went down with food poisoning yesterday, were rushed to a hospital early today when their condition worsened.
    The students, who were given free packet drinks at the school, complained of headache, stomach ache and vomiting after drinking it.
    Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital director Datuk Dr Juita Ghazalie said the hospital received a call at 4.45pm yesterday, following which a medical team was sent to the school to provide treatment to the students.
    However, the condition of the 26 students, who were staying at the school hostel, worsened today and they were sent to the hospital at about 1am, she said.
    The students were reported to be in stable condition. – Bernama
