Kelantan CID chief Supt Mit Emong said both suspects, in their 20s, were detained at 12.50pm.
"The suspects who were riding a motorcycle threw away a packet when stopped by police and tried to flee the scene but were later detained. Upon checking the packet thrown by the suspects, we found 10 packets containing 2,000 pills methamphetamine pills weighing 200grams," he told reporters at the Kelantan police headquarters, here today.
Initial investigations revealed that the suspects had received their supply of drugs from a neighbouring country and meant for distribution in Kota Baru.
"Both did not have any previous criminal records although they are believed to have been active for about a month. Each pill is believed to be sold for RM25. We are looking for the remaining syndicate members," he said. – Bernama
