Wan Azizah says a little hurt by Hadi's statement

SHAH ALAM: PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail acknowledged today that she was hurt by the statement by PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang questioning her ability and capability to serve as a mentri besar.
"I was a little hurt by the personal attack against me although I respect the opinion of Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang pertaining to my ability and capability.
"However, I am not angry and I accept it as a criticism to improve myself," she said in a statement.
She advised all quarters not to respond to Abdul Hadi's statement.
"I express thanks to Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang and his family for their assistance rendered to me since 1999," she said.
Last Friday, Abdul Hadi said PAS had not nominated Dr Wan Azizah for the post of Selangor mentri besar because the Kajang assemblyman was incapable of holding the post.
Abdul Hadi had stated that PAS' rejection of Dr Wan Azizah had nothing to do with gender. – Bernama
