KEPALA BATAS: Some 100 Allianze University College of Medical Sciences (AUCMS) employees carried out a peaceful rally outside the Labour Department claiming that they have not been paid since January.
Group spokesman Marzuki Din claimed some 500 staff members who earned below RM5,000 a month had not been paid.
He said they have forwarded their complaints to the Labour Department and hoped the issue could be resolved soon.
He said life has been difficult for their their families since they have not been paid for more than six months.
"We approached the management but they only gave promises which have not been fulfilled," the pharmacy instructor said.
His colleague Subramaniam Bandiloo, 48, also expressed similar sentiments and urged the management to understand their plight.
He said all they wanted was to get paid and asked how long they had to endure working with no pay.
"I have to care for my three children who are still studying," he added.
Several attempts to contact AUCMS president Datuk Dr Zainuddin Wazir failed.
