KUALA LUMPUR: The Global Movement of Moderates and Akademi Belia have invited Malaysians to post their thoughts and ideas on the future of Malaysia at their newly launched "Masa Depan Malaysia" Facebook page and twitter page #masadepanmalaysia.
These comments will be taken into the consideration along with discussion points at the "Masa Depan Malaysia" series of roundtable meetings which kicked off today.
The first meeting, hosted by GMM at its premises in Damansara, was attended by representatives of Sisters in Islam, Parent Action Group for Education Malaysia (PAGE), Persatuan Hak Asasi Manusia Malaysia (Proham) and other non-governmental organisations including youth groups.
The participants discussed a variety of subjects such as education and foreign policies.
A document of public opinion will be produced at the end of the series of meetings, said GMM chief executive officer and Akademi Belia chairman Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah.
"The document will be sent to the government as a guideline for national policies," he said.
Saifuddin added that the future meetings in the series will be held in various states in the country, including Sabah and Sarawak.
He said all the meetings are targeted to end in December.
