PETALING JAYA: TMC Life Sciences Bhd, which was among the most-actively traded counters yesterday, said it was unaware of a corporate exercise involving the injection of substantial shareholder Peter Lim Eng Hock's healthcare services assets into TMC.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, TMC said it did not receive any notification of its major shareholder's plan to park both hospital assets, Tropicana Medical Centre in Petaling Jaya and Thomson Medical Centre in Singapore under TMC.
Shares of TMC rose 7 sen or 12.61% to 62.5 sen, almost breaking an all-time high that was registered in May 2008, with some 47.81 million shares traded.
Its warrant TMC-WA, meanwhile, was the top most active counter for the day with 122.02 million units changing hands.
