Farmer, wife killed in road accident

KANGAR: A farmer and his wife were killed after the motorcycle they were riding was involved in a collision with a car near here today, police said.
Kangar Police chief Supt Abdul Rahman Noordin said Din Mahamud, 60, who was riding the machine, and his wife, Jemilah Bakar, 56, who was riding pillion, died on the spot in the accident which happened at 7.30am at Km14 of Jalan Alor Setar-Kangar in Bongor near here.
The driver of the car, Ruslaili Yahaya, was unhurt, he added. – Bernama
