"As we do not have official confirmation from the parties in conflict, we cannot make any official announcement," he told reporters when met at the Parliament lobby here today.
He was commenting on a former student of Kolej Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Selangor, Syamimi Faiqah who was reported to have gone to Syria on Oct 4, allegedly to join IS.
On another development, Wan Junaidi said the outcome of police investigations into a hand-grenade explosion in Bukit Bintang recently, would be announced soon.
On Thursday, it was reported that a car jockey, Tiong Kwong Yie, 36, was killed and 12 others, including foreign tourists, were seriously injured during a hand-grenade attack in front of a nightclub at the Sun Complex.
Initial police investigations revealed that the attack was linked to a 'turf war' involving secret societies. – Bernama
