Panasonic Malaysia, alongside its building technology firm, PanaHome Malaysia, will be exhibiting at the 5th International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition & Conference Malaysia (IGEM2014). The event will be held from Oct 16 to 19 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
Established in 2012, PanaHome Malaysia has redefined Panasonic’s long-held identity, breaking away from its perceptive context as a solely electrical and electronic supplier. Through PanaHome, the company will be focused on providing solutions for innovative eco homes and sustainable living.
With over 50 years of experience accrued in Japan, PanaHome has only recently entered new markets namely Taiwan and Malaysia. In response to the industry’s focus on sustainable development, Panasonic Malaysia managing director Yosuke Matsunaga espoused that the company “shall be striving towards a new platform of propositions – in the form of sustainable home building and township developments at this coming IGEM2014 and beyond.”
At the IGEM2014, Panasonic Malaysia and PanaHome Malaysia will present the framework and execution of a smart and sustainable township, one that prioritises community lifestyle and sustainable living as well as advanced technology-based infrastructure. A green township will be showcased, illustrating harmonious space design, exhibiting a revolutionary approach in home building structures, renewable energy systems, advanced mobility, embedded healthcare, security and emergencies. Panasonic will also prove why these townships of the future should no longer be identified as just concepts but as a reality, supported by the various projects it has embarked on in Japan, China and some, in the pipeline in Malaysia.

Through the showcase, visitors will be presented with a complete framework of a Sustainable Smart Town(SST) consisting of smart concepts of a PanaHome (complete build-up of a home), which is fitted with high quality and “green” fittings, together with innovative and advanced Panasonic Life Solutions, said Panasonic’s eco innovation department general manager Tan Chee Hon.
