KUALA LUMPUR: A housewife was found dead with bruises on her face and body, believed to have been beaten up by someone known to her, at a house in Taman Puchong Utama, Bukit Puchong, early this morning.
Subang Jaya Police Chief ACP Yahaya Ramli said the body of G. Kanagaletchumi, 25, was found by her brother, lying on the floor in the house at midnight and police received a call an hour later.
"The victim is believed to have succumbed to injuries suffered from the suspect's heavy blows and the victim may have known her perpetrator," he said in a statement here today.
Yahaya said initial investigations revealed that the victim frequently quarrelled with her 33-year-old husband, believed to be a drug addict, who works at a cyber cafe.
He said the suspect was believed to have fled to Kedah and sent his sons, aged six and two months, to his mother's house located nearby, before the incident. The victim's body was sent to the Serdang Hospital for a post-mortem. – Bernama
