Sultan of Brunei to make 3-day visit to M'sia

KUALA LUMPUR: The Sultan of Brunei Darussalam, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah (pix) will make a three-day working visit to Malaysia, beginning Monday.
According to a foreign ministry statement here today, he is scheduled to attend the 18th Annual Leaders' Consultation with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak in Putrajaya on the same day.
Najib and wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor will also be hosting a luncheon in honour of the ruler's visit.
Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah will be conferred the Honorary Doctorate of Law by University Sains Malaysia (USM) in Penang on Nov 5.
The Annual Consultation is the most notable high level event between Malaysia and Brunei. The event will allow both leaders to take stock and review the progress of bilateral relations in the past year, especially with regard to the implementation of the agreements reached between the two countries in the Exchange of Letters signed in 2009.
During the visit, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah will be accompanied by several Brunei cabinet ministers and senior officials. – Bernama
