Case of homestay operator who recorded guests bathing to be mentioned Dec 10

IPOH: The case of a homestay operator recording eight occupants bathing in the nude has been fixed for mention on Dec 10.
Lim Lai Heng, 42, had claimed trial on Oct 1 in the magistrates court after he was charged with eight counts of recording three men and five women bathing in the nude using a mini CCTV at the homestay.
Lim is charged with intent to outrage the modesty of the victims, aged between 17 and 53.
The offences were allegedly committed at Ipoh Garden Homestay, Jalan Pekeliling Tasek, Taman Canning here between 2.30pm and 11.30pm on July 27 this year.

The offence, under Section 509 of the Penal Code, carries a jail term of up to five years or fine or both, if convicted.
