JOHOR BARU: Johor is set to have the highest number of internet users in a matter of years, following the number of agreements that Telekom Malaysia Bhd had signed with the developers in the state since 2010 to provide high speed broadband internet to residents.
TM Johor vice president Azhar Omar said that 71 developers have signed agreements with TM, of which 30 are from Johor.
The latest agreement that the company had signed was with Horizon Hills Development Sdn Bhd which developed the 1,200 acre Holiday Hills project in Nusajaya.
Under the agreement each house buyer will enjoy free internet service for two years.
With the high speed internet broadband service, the Horizon Hills township which has an international mix of resident from 40 countries, is set to become a digital city.
