Semi-paralysed old man dies in Kampung Sungai Korok house fire

Fire and Rescue Department forensic personnel conducting an investigation at the house where a disabled man died in Kampung Sungai Korok, Parit on Nov 12, 2014.
PARIT: A 63-year-old semi-paralysed man was burnt to death after his double-storey house was destroyed in a fire at Kampung Sungai Korok, here today.
The deceased was identified as Zainal Azmi Abu Hassan, who is paralysed from waist down.
He had been staying alone in the house.
A Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said 80 percent of the house was engulfed in fire when firemen arrived at the scene at 5am.
Firemen found the charred body of the man on a bed in his room on the ground floor of the house.
