Store supervisor killed by falling roof

BAYAN LEPAS: A 48-year-old factory worker in Kampung Jawa died on the spot after the factory' concrete roof crushed unto him during the evening incident yesterday.
In the 6.50pm incident, the man was crushed to death as it was raining heavily during that time.
According to Fire and Rescue department s spokesman, the victim Wan Nazari Wan Mokhtar, was inside the rubble and debris after the incident as rescuers were doing their best to bring out the body.
The department arrived at the scene around 7.05pm after receiving distress call around 6.56pm.
The spokesman said the department took about an hour to retrieve the body out from the mess.
Fortunately there were no other victims in the incident.
The body has since been sent to Penang Hospital for a post mortem.
