Elderly man dies behind wheel of car

GEORGE TOWN: The death of a driver following an apparent heart attack resulted in a minor traffic snarl along Jalan Burma here today afternoon.
A passer-by said he suspected something amiss when the car the deceased was in did not move despite the traffic light turning green.
He said he and a few others decided to find out what had happened and saw the driver, believed to be in his 80s, unconscious on the seat.
"The car door was locked so we smashed the window, took him out and moved the car to the side of the road," he said about 1.45pm.
The deceased, whose identity has yet to be ascertained, has been sent to the Penang Hospital for a post-mortem.
