Epsom College makes an impact

Epsom College in Malaysia (ECiM), a first class British Curriculum International School, marked the commencement of its academic year recently. The coeducational boarding school opened its doors for the first time, welcoming students aged three to 18.
A clear indication of the school’s early success could be seen by the overwhelmingly large number of registrations that took place at the school’s Open Day. A total of over 180 visitors attended the tours and interactive sessions led by the teaching faculty with some of the school’s sixth form students.
The event provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the school’s impressive state-of-the-art learning facilities that support its all-round holistic co-curriculum, “the home away from home” residency Boarding Houses, and its impressive sporting premises.
“We had a huge amount of confidence in the level of interest and attention we gathered. The high number of registrations we received is a testament of the trust that parents have placed on us for our ability to deliver a first class education experience,” said the school’s headmaster Martin George.
“This fact is evident as students from our sister college in the UK have continuously secured places at some of the top universities in the world,” he added.
Tan Sri Dr Tony Fernandes, a fellow Old Epsomian and Malaysia Campus Board of Governors chairman, was the brainchild that made ECiM possible. He believes that the well-rounded education will benefit students in the region.
Strategically located in Bandar Enstek, an hour south of Kuala Lumpur, ECiM is 15 minutes from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and the Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT). The 50-acre development is Epsom’s first overseas campus.
