Mercedes, NZ Wheels to build RM17m Autohaus in Kuantan

    PETALING JAYA: Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) has partnered with its primary dealer NZ Wheels Sdn Bhd to construct a RM17 million Autohaus in Kuantan, Pahang slated for completion in the fourth quarter of 2015.
    The two-storey Autohaus has over 45,000 square feet of display space to showcase eight vehicles, MBM said yesterday.
    It said construction of the Mercedes-Benz NZ Wheels Autohaus in Kuantan is expected to begin in December 2014.
    With 10 service bays, it said the Autohaus will be operated by over 20 trained personnel and will feature facilities such as the coffee bar, TV and Wi-Fi aimed at enhancing customer comfort. It said this marks the 5th Mercedes-Benz Autohaus for NZ Wheels.
    To date, NZ Wheels has invested a total of RM49.4 million in its MBM dealerships in Peninsula Malaysia. NZ Wheels is also present in Klang, Bangsar, Johor and Labuan.
    Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, president and CEO Roland Folger said the upcoming Autohaus marks the beginning of the refurbishment of the Mercedes-Benz network outside of the Klang Valley, which is aimed at transforming the retail experience of customers in and around Kuantan.
