Two Africans suspected of fraud in Penang nabbed in Kepong

KUALA LUMPUR: Two African men wanted by the Seberang Perai Utara Commercial CID for committing frauds in Penang have been apprehended in Kepong, here last night.
Both suspects were arrested while attempting to escape in a car in front of AEON Big, Kepong, said Sentul police chief R. Munusamy.
"In the 7 pm incident, police were forced to fire three shots at the tyre of the getaway car, a Perodua Myvi, after the suspects tried to knock down policemen who wanted to arrest them.
"As a result, the car skidded and collided with three other vehicles at the supermarket parking area," he said in a statement here.
He said, however, there were no occupants in the three vehicles concerned and both suspects were being remanded at the Kepong police station for further investigations. – Bernama
