One dead, four injured in gang fight in Mentakab

TEMERLOH: A man was killed while four others were injured in a gang fight in front of the Persatuan Kebajikan Sukan dan Rekreasi office in Bukit Bendera, Mentakab near here early today.
Pahang CID chief Datuk Zakaria Ahmad said in the 3.20am incident, P Arasu, 44, died at the scene due to severe head injuries.
"Police believe a motorcycle was also placed on the victim before it was set on fire. Sharp weapons, sticks and iron rods were used in the fight," he told reporters at the Temerloh district police headquarters here.
He said the four injured were sent to the Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Hospital here and had been placed under arrest pending further investigations.
