Seremban FRU personnel killed in road accident

    SEREMBAN: A Federal Reserve Unit (FRU) policeman was killed when his motorcycle skidded and crashed in an accident at the Jalan Seremban–Kuala Pilah near the Giant hypermarket in Ampangan here this morning.
    Lance Corporal Rostam Elias, 32, was killed on the spot. He sustained head and body injuries.
    Seremban police chief, ACP Muhammad Zaki Harun said the state FRU policeman He was riding the machine from Seremban to Kuala Pilah when the crash occurred about 8.30am.
    Meanwhile in PEKAN, a woman and her two children were killed while her parents sustained slight injuries when the car they were travelling in, crashed into a wall of a bridge here yesterday.
    The 12.45pm crash occurred at the 26km Jalan Pekan-Nenasi near here.
    The deceased were identified as Nor Azian Abdul Razak, 26, Mohd Amar Zikri Amir, two, and Nor Damia Az-zahra, one.
    Pekan police chief Supt Yahaya Othman said Nor Azian, of Kampung Baru Nenasi was killed on the spot. She sustained head injuries.
    He said Mohd Amar Zikri died while undergoing treatment at the Pekan Hospital about 11 last night while Nor Damia Az-zahra succumbed to injuries at the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital in Kuantan at 1.30pm today.
    He said Nor Azian's father, Abdul Razak Hussin, 66, who was driving the car, and his wife, Bibi Nordin, 64, sustained light injuries and were given outpatient treatment at the Pekan Hospital.
    "The family was on the way to attend a relative's wedding in Kuala Pahang when the accident occurred," he told Bernama here today.
    Yahaya said initial investigations revealed the vehicle which was heading towards Kuala Pahang from Nenasi skidded at a corner and crashed into the wall of the Sungai Api-Api bridge before turning over. – Bernama
