Express bus driver killed as bus skids, falls on its side

MALACCA: A bus driver was killed while five passengers sustained mild injuries when the express bus they were in, skidded and fell on its side at the northbound 174.1km North-South Expressway here yesterday evening.
Mohd Hazuan Zaharia, 35, of Banting, Selangor died on the spot in the 6.30pm crash.
The injured passengers were sent to the Malacca Hospital for out-patient treatment.
Jasin police chief DSP Muhd Nur Hishamuddin Hashim said the bus, which was on its way from Johor Baru to Malacca Sentral here, tried to avoid a car which had skidded into its path.
"At that juncture, the bus skidded and fell on its side," he told reporters here today. – Bernama
