KUALA LUMPUR: Travelling by train proved rewarding for six lucky passengers as KTM Berhad gave away RM10,000 worth of prizes to them.
Thong Hawk Yen received a 32-inch LED TV, a hamper and KTM Intercity travel ticket vouchers for being the 15 millionth Intercity passenger since its launch in 2010 while Antonio Pinheiro walked away with similar prizes for being the fifth millionth electric train service (ETS) user.
Under the "Loyal Customer" category, Faridah Ibrahim and Lau Horn Charn won a video camera, a hamper and KTM Intercity travel ticket vouchers each while Kogilavani Balakrishnan and Hasliza Mustaffa secured similar prizes under the "I-Card User" category.
KTMB chairman Datuk Nawawi Ahmad said during the prize-giving ceremony today that the prizes were an initiative to show appreciation to Intercity and ETS loyal customers.
