Petronas, Vopak and Dialog sign accord for PIC terminal

    PETALING JAYA: Petroliam Nasional Bhd, via subsidiary, PRPC Utilities and Facilities Sdn Bhd (PRPC UF) last Friday signed an agreement with Vopak Terminal Pengerang BV and Dialog Equity (Two) Sdn Bhd to jointly develop the terminal phase two project in Pengerang.
    The terminal, which is on schedule for completion by 2019, will have storage capacity up to 2.1 million cubic meters for crude, refined products, petrochemical products and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), with deepwater jetty facilities, 24 metres deep, enabling it to handle very large crude carriers (VLCCs).
    "The signing is another milestone for Petronas and further cements our commitment for the successful development Pengerang Integrated Complex (PIC)," said PIC's Vice President and Venture Director Juniwati Rahmat Hussin, adding that the terminal will be built on 157 acres next to the site of the existing Pengerang Independent Terminal.
